You can reverse (extourn) any entry, which automatically creates an opposite transaction with inverted values. This app uses a ledger-based accounting system, inspired by professional double-entry bookkeeping. Every transaction, whether it’s a valuation update, a deposit/withdrawal, or a purchase/sale, is permanently recorded in the ledger to ensure transparency, auditability, and historical integrity.

If you wish to cancel an operation, you must create a reversal entry (↵) instead. This preserves the complete history and allows for professional-grade supervision over time.

Yes. You can export your encrypted asset file and share it with a trusted person, while separately giving your private decryption key to another. This way, only the combination of both elements allows anyone to access your data, ensuring full confidentiality until a predefined moment (e.g. in the event of death or incapacity).

Yes, you can store your encrypted asset file on any private cloud or storage service of your choice (e.g., Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, Corporate infrastructure, etc). The file remains encrypted and can only be opened through the AssetOwner.app interface using your private key. Once opened, you can make changes, re-export the updated file, and store it again on your cloud. This allows you to manage your assets across multi-devices while keeping full control and confidentiality.

AssetOwner.app uses a credit system to manage certain actions efficiently.

- You start with 100 credits when you first use the app.
- Each action that requires resources (adding assets, uploading photos, generating reports, etc.) consumes a small number of credits.
- When your credits are low, the app will notify you so you can manage your remaining balance carefully.
- Credits never expire and remain available as long as you use the same device/browser and do not clear your local storage.

This system ensures the application stays responsive and resource usage remains balanced for all users.

The credits indicator 💎 changes color to help you monitor your balance at a glance:

• Default color → 50 credits or more: everything is fine.
• Orange → less than 50 credits: consider saving or using credits carefully.
• Red → less than 20 credits: very low balance, avoid running out.
